All Family Reunion Committee members will remain in position (min 2 yr commitment)

If you no longer desire to hold a position on the family reunion planning committee please formally step down.  [As of today’s meeting Secretary formally stepped down]

If you desire to join the committee please make your interest known and come to the next committee meetings.

Current positions are as follows:

Vision for Family Reunion 2026-

Location: San Antonio Texas

Tentative Dates to submit for vote:

1. June 18-21

2. July 2-5

3. August 13-16

Lodging: Everyone submit itinerary ideas and lodging to vote on for next meeting.

Reunion Dues:

Month collection is will account for June 25’- June 26’

Amount of dues will be determined and voted on once we have taken into account what is needed.

Members Present in Attendance: Carolyn Blackmon, Carolyn Turner, Tanisha Rufus, Jan’nel Gray, Maggietta Wynn, Andre Kimbrough Sr.

Agenda:

1. Opening Prayer

2. Review Previous Meeting Minutes 

   1. Still in Need of Committee Members

   2. Location of 2026 Reunion- San Antonio, Texas 

   3. Potential Dates for the ReUnion Identified below (will post poll for family to vote on dates 🗳️)

      1. June-18-21

   4. Family was tasked to present potential lodging accommodations at this meeting 

   5. Dues and cost per family  pinned 📌 until housing plan is identified. 

3. Open Floor for Family to present potential lodging accommodations as previously discussed

   1. Carolyn B. (President) - Presented 5 AirB&B’s in San Antonio Texas that may potentially accommodate the Family

   3. Discussed pros and cons of Hotel vs Air B & B

   4. Air B&B the confirmed lodging for the reunion based on the poll in Group Me!

3. Reviewed potential lodging accommodations as previously discussed

   1. Carolyn B. (President) - Reviewed 5 AirB&B’s in San Antonio Texas that may potentially accommodate the Family

      2. Discussed that lodging and travel cost will be separate from dues. 

      3. Plan to post in the chat an take to a vote 🗳️ the air b&b we will choose!

4. ReviewedFamily Reunion dues

   1. Current vote is to maintain cost of $50 per house hold for dues, with plan to revisit cost based on budget and need.

   2. Record reflects 6 in favor and 2 abstained. 

   3. Dues will be required for January 2026-August 2026

   4. Please pay dues the exact same way via Family Reunion Website 

   5. Potential plan to increase dues based on need. 

5. Registration Fee Discussed 

   1. Current vote held re: plan for registration fee to be required and cost associated with registration fee. 

   2. Purpose is to RSVP and confirm attendance so we can better plan and budget based on confirmed reunion attendance.

   3. Record reflects that all members present voted 🗳️ yes for registration fee of $35 per person.

   4. $35 Registration Fee is non refundable, is separate from the cost of dues, and will cover the cost of the Family Reunion Tshirt.

   5. Last dayto register for this reunion will be 3/31/26. After this registration for this reunion will be closed. This does not mean you can’t attend it jus means you can’t will not be counted for in the lodging and budgeted accommodations. 

6. Current Plan for next coming meetings 

   1. 1. Meet Bi - Weekly until Reunion-

         1. Next Meeting 2/15/26

      2. Vote in 2 polls- voting will be open for 2 weeks to vote on the air b&b and family reunion t-shirts!

      3. Social Media & Marketing Team will push the info for marketing and the Reunion. 

      4. President will have mock itinerary for review in next meeting.

      5. Things are moving quickly because time is not on our side but we are still planning with excellence if you want to be apart of that!
